Title: Mali
Post by: Sealord on November 23, 2022, 1407 UTC
Anyone know of a frequency change for Mali from 5995 or if their Bamako I tx is down?  Can't find anything official stating otherwise.

As per the November 9th 2022 database everything looks normal for the frequencies. I'm pretty sure I was listening to it a few days ago on 5995.

5995    R.MALI   06:00   08:00   French   50 kW   Bamako I
5995    R.MALI   18:00   00:00   French   50 kW   Bamako I
9635    R.MALI   08:00   18:00   French   50 kW   Bamako I

They've been missing often from 5995 kHz, especially that 0600-0800 broadcast, for weeks now. Glenn Hauser's remarked on it, too, on his weekly show. I usually check that frequency here on the West Coast before I go to bed, and I haven't heard Mali in at least a week and a half.

China Radio International also broadcasts from transmitters in Mali, so you can also hear the country that way.

Yep; seems like I haven't  heard them on the 5995 Freq. since the beginning of this month.  I just recently logged their 2nd transmitter here (https://www.hfunderground.com/board/index.php/topic,105785.0.html), so something must be going on with the Bamako I transmitter.
