One of the more enigmatic pirate stations, Long Range Radio, appears to have been confirmed by several listeners posting to the FRN. Long Range Radio was heretofore logged only by legendary DXer George Zeller.

The 5/23/09, 0100 UTC transmission seemed of dubious origin, due to the absence of Warren Zevon music, a signature of the mysterious Long Range Radio: http://www.frn.net/vines/Forum4/HTML/013987.html (http://www.frn.net/vines/Forum4/HTML/013987.html)

5/23/09 Late log per unattended recording. My recorder doesn't time stamp so times are very approximate.

0100 UTC (time approx per these logs): Mojo Nixon pirate radio song
Followed by some unid song, Jimmy Buffett "Havana Daydreaming", another Jimmy Buffett song.
0120z (time approx): Long Range Radio ID just audible through noise after Buffett songs.
Music resumed after a few moments of dead air.
Some version of "The Shake" (another station just barely audible in background), Buffett "Boat Drinks"
SINPO - 22332, fair signal, moderately heavy local RFI, moderate QRN static crashes

This could be who I had here, around 1857-1901z, pretty weak, but I think I was hearing something, as opposed to just hearing things.
