Title: 4441 kHz Canadian bush net
Post by: Kilokat7 on September 20, 2013, 2144 UTC
Has anyone ever heard this net on 4441?  I wonder how far it reaches?  I'll be paying closer attention to 4441 after reading this article:

Don Taylor and his ‘trappers sched’ (http://www.yukon-news.com/life/don-taylor-and-his-trappers-sched)

I have had this one in the scan list for a while.   But everything I have heard on it has been to far in the noise.  May have to watch it a bit closer.

I have an older Spilsbury, mine is green. They're fairly common up here, but there's fewer and fewer trappers all the time. There's other "bush nets", some are fairly large and formal like the one on 7.093, others are far less formal and concern those in the immediate community. Many are in Inuktitut, the Inuit language. Satelite phones are becoming more common as they become less expensive.

Just Asian fishermen in that range here on the coast.
