I was hunting around and found this picture supposedly of the inside of the Pip control room
http://files.radioscanner.ru/uploader/2012/img20120325.jpg
Looking at the picture suggests it was taken very quickly due to the image sloping slightly, the rubber gripper on the pen on the log book, the tossed down mic and the uniform belt in the lower left

Cool! Where'd you find it? And are there more pictures of number station studios?

That is very cool. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. I like the jump wires from the clock (center). I wonder if that has something to do with the noise? For a message all one would have to do is disconnect one end (Lead) from the console (I.e. break the circuit) to make the noise stop and than start talking. Who knows? Interesting though.

Found on a link on wikipedia. I think it has to be true based on a number of things, but mainly the log books on the desk which appear to be an identical make to those found at the old S28 site. Also, the picture may very well have been taken by an actual announcer as the mic is casually left on the log book, there is a pen with the nib exposed. It could have been taken on a camera phone due to the way the image is - bright circles of light where the lens has overloaded and with the slight grainyness that you come to expect from the sort of thing

Cool. The website appears to be a Russian language radio hobbyist forum.
