What are these data bursts I keep seeing on 11 meters? I see them on other bands sometimes, but they seem to be almost constant on 11. They're almost 10kHz wide, looking sort of like DRM, but they usually only last for about a second. Once in a while one will go for 2 or 3 seconds.

Perhaps its local> I have been checking out 11 meters & I don't see anything like what you describe. can you give a frequency?

I also hear this Signal's arround 1600utc at 27760kHz up to 27900kHz with Signal 8 to 9+ here in Germany.
With 5/8wave vertical the Signal was 1-3 points smaller like the Signal on my 3element Yagi pointed NW(beaming North America from Europa).
???????
Greeting's ;)

Tuned to 27790 to check and saw one of them just as I tuned. I see them all over HF and they're common, but don't know what it is for sure.

I just saw a sequence of them on three channels between 27740 and 27770.

What makes you think it is data vs a radar? I am not saying it is not data, wihtout more description or a recording I simply do not know, but the duration you describe and the width you describe is one that is pretty common for a couple radars that fill the 27500 to 28000 area. Maybe tomorrow (if I remember) I will grab a vid of the radars, so you can compare that to what you are seeing / hearing.
