1710 khz AM  S8-S9
6:03 utc  Electronic Dance Music with  heavy base beat, Female announcer with British Accent talking over music, in the
1 min 15 sec. audio recording I made the Fem announcer says:
2 times   "And now we're going to dance"
1 time    "You've (sounds to me like she said locked but I'll go with Liked) Me On Face Book"
6:05 utc Off

Drat , I rolled back the water fall and see this had been on and strong way before I found it!

I did a careful listen between 0555-0610 UTC on my recording and heard nothing like dance music here.  The only thing I heard was a faint Radio Celestial mixing with the Hudson County, NJ. TIS station.  Dance music with a heavy bass beat would have stood out, even if weak.  I wonder who it was?

Same here. I would say not the usual suspects.

Update
I received communication from the owner of this signal telling me that:
1  - It originated from somewhere in the mountains of Idaho and
2  - The person was using 150 watts carrier.

Ashamed that I did not catch more of this - the audio was impressive, maybe next time if there is a next time?

No indication if there would be another broadcast nor any Station "ID" but I will certainly be keeping an eye on the band.

1710 and 1720 khz are definitely getting more popular this winter.

Interesting, thanks for the update.  Please record it, if you hear it again!

Noticed about this so I had to chime in- on a trip to the Grand Canyon 3 years ago I had my little tecsun pl-380 with me. One night (8/4/11 according to my log) I noticed some VERY weak music on 1710, which sounded like Dance. Could it be the same station in discussion right now?
