Title: WW (Wild West) are you up to the challenge
Post by: beaconman on September 30, 2009, 0254 UTC
WW 4078.25 is the lowest powered PHFER beacon
in the 4 MC band...it is between 80-100mw into
a mobile whip antenna...

It has been heard by listeners on the east coast
anyway...don't forget WW if you really want a challenge.

Copying WW here, but need Argo to do it.  No copy by ear.  Can see it in the noise using Argo though.

well golly gee as Gomer Pyle would have put it. I finally heard the infamous "WW" this evening.
It was popping its head in and out of the noise here in Harrisburg at about 0225z.

Pretty good trip for that little peanut whistle.

Heard it faintly a few times, but Argo was able to pull it out here in Orlando.

WW coming into MD this morning at 1115z, weak but audible. It is one of the beacons that is a regular here.

My challenge now is to hear SD.
