2051hrs. R. Romania, 17.510, very strong signal, shallow fading. Are they using a relay station?

Maybe, but then again maybe not on the relay question.  I once caught Romania aimed at *Japan*.  There were deep rather than shallow fades involved in that catch, but it's doable given propagation.  ... I just looked up that log, and it was the end of March last year, so the time frame sort of fits.  Admittedly it was 25 meters... hmm. 

Is Romania listed on 17510 at that time?  If not, it might be a schedule goof or a relay.  Hmm.

Radio Romania is targeted at North America at 20:30 - 20:57. They don't use any relays that I know of. This broadcast is only 30 minutes long unlike the 3:00 - 4:00 one , also aimed at N America on 7350//9645.

So...its 307 degrees from Romania with 300 KW. Easily propagatable.

Radio Romania does not use relays---that was direct. I heard it as well today, pretty good signal here
