6914 Oddity is my nickname for this station. I've been hearing it for a few years now. It uses a variety of modes on 6914, including AM, MCW, and RTTY. It was just on now with an OM counting. Earlier this morning it was sending messages in MCW and RTTY. The MARS net was on 6913 at the time. I'm not sure there was any relationship to the MARS net.
When active, it will transmit for a minute or two, then go silent for a few minutes, then come back on the air. So it pays to sit on 6914 if you want to hear it (or record using your SDR). Months can go by without any activity, then it will become active, often for a few days.

Noting MCW here at 0105z; too weak and too much fading to get a proper decode.
-
It continues to transmit today, and even now as I type this (2117z).
-
MCW now at 0102z, 27Jul15. Fair level.

Been hearing this here for the last week or so with morse/RTTY/MFSK16, always with a carrier and modulating so it can be copied/demodulated in AM mode.

I've heard various activity on and near 6914 for years. Sometimes it's American English, very terse, sounds official. Sometimes Spanish language pesquitoes. Sometimes CW and other data.
Hearing many more new-to-me oddities between 6700-7000 that I don't recall hearing the last time I was actively DXing up until 2012. I'll have to log and record them more systematically.
