Someone here playing music, fairly consistent signal but badly over-modulated. Best here in LSB to dodge the IBOC hash from the new 1700 station. Some announcements between songs but the speech is very difficult to understand due to the poor modulation. Anyone else hearing this?

I'm picking up some audio, can tell that there is some talking right now. Your right I'm listening in LSB as well. Thought that I just heard the word Chicago, sounded like an id at 0321 "this is" but that was all that I could make out.
I'm not hearing the same station, could it be a TIS station?
Pretty sure that I'm listening to a TIS broadcast, seems to be a loop message.
Does anyone know if the Flight 93 Memorial has a TIS station? The reasons are:
I heard the numbers 15563; zip code for Stoystown PA.
Mention of September 11.
Something about the "entrance gate".
A phone number (I think that I got it all correct) that is a land line for Cambria County PA.
At 0412 I heard the address for the memorial 6424 Lincoln Highway.
So I'm going to say that it is the TIS for the Flight 93 Memorial.

This is strange but it almost sounds better when using FM mode, which leads me back to a harmonic but 855 khz x 2 doesn't make sense.

Same here, good signal (S8), but that IBOC hash is making it tough even in LSB. Hard to tell what the announcer is talking about. Trouble here is IBOC hash from 1690 also :(

Unfortunately, due to the fact that I live less than 10 miles from that blasted WRCR, there's not even a remote possibility that I'll hear this station.

Still going. This sounds like Christian music and there have been mentions of Canada. After a little Googling, I found this which *might* explain what I'm hearing: http://www.chimfm.com/ and then this Facebook mention from June 24th:
CHIM RADIO 1710 AM IS PRESENTLY BEING RELOCATED TO OUR NEW 150 FOOT TOWER IN SOUTH EAST TIMMINS TO SERVE OUR CITY BETTER. CHIM RADIO CELEBRATING 20 YEARS ON AIR AND ON LINE.
Looks like CHIM has several low powered FM stations throughout Canada, but I question the legality of this 1710 operation. If this is really coming from Timmins, Ontario then I probably shouldn't be hearing it way down here in Michigan. I don't know what the rules are for Canadian Part 15 AM stations (is there such a thing?), but I'm guessing this one isn't running legal power.
