The period seems to be about 10 seconds.

There's also one on 6701.

All 3 (6701, 6835, and 6972) being heard here with strong S8ish dashes.

10-sec pips on ~6971.5 USB @ 2300 (Nov 04)
Clear "time" pips occurring at 10-sec intervals.
No other audio present.
At 2313  Nov 04) no longer heard.
