Title: 60.0KHz CW

Logged a signal on 60.0KHz CW from 1740z this morning sending the letter "T" nine times then "E" as the tenth character, this was repeated over and over.  "T T T T T T T T T E" was the format sent.

The signal was 519 at 1745z and peaked 559 on my Grey Line at 1905z.  Station location or purpose unknown, any suggestions or comments?

(Yaesu FT-2000D with 200 feet of wire, 127kms west of Sydney at Mount Piddington 3,654 feet ASL.)

Have identified this station as Time Signal station WWVB Fort Collins, Colorado, USA with a transmitter output of 50Kw, 539 report at 1533z this morning.  Transmits a "dit" every ten seconds and "dit-dit" on the minute.  With lower noise WWVB very clear this morning.

Some info on what wwvb sends;
"The 60 kHz signal is broadcast continuously at a rate of 1 bit per second using pulse width modulation to produce a binary coded decimal (BCD) format. The time code contains the year, day of year, hour, minute, second, and flags that indicate the status of Daylight Saving Time, leap years, and leap seconds. WWVB identifies itself by advancing its carrier phase 45° at 10 minutes after the hour and returning to normal phase at 15 minutes after the hour. Again, visit the website for details."
