Title: KG-84 Encrypted FSK / RTTY 6946 kHz 0645 UTC 7 Apr 2016
Post by: ChrisSmolinski on April 07, 2016, 1232 UTC
Heads up, for the last few days I have noticed FSK/RTTY around 6946 kHz, this time starting at 0645 UTC. It's KG-84 encrypted and fairly strong, so quite possibly US military related.

Chris,
Thanks for the post. I was about to post something on this "Intruder" :) in the Pirate section.
I first noticed it around this time last evening and it's strong and solid here - easily S9+.
Ye olde trusty R-70 gives it S9 +10. Here's a screen shot from the SDR-IQ
What next? First Bro $care and now this...
Tom
{edit} @ 0038 - now the "piggy back" signal is gone and I only see / hear the "RTTY looking" data part of the signal.
{edit} Token, thanks for the info. As you can tell, I'm not at all familiar w/this mode however, I did do a Google search on
KG-84 to see what I could learn. I have heard Link-11 before but not with any other signal.

The "piggy back" signal was Link 11 in ISB, and the FSK appears to be STANAG 4481 FSK.
