Title: Zenith T/O Bomber engraving question
Post by: Ct Yankee on April 14, 2016, 2152 UTC

I recently came into possession of a 1942 zenith t/o "bomber". On the top of the radio is stamped, onto the radio itself, the owner's name.  The owner, according to the label in the radio, was a Lt. in the USNR Utility Squadron.  Did zenith do this type of stamping as gifts?  Know anything about the utility squadron's use of these radio?  Appreciate your help in keeping the history of these radios, and this individual one, alive.

Oh yes, I came into possession of it because it is older and more beat up than I am.

There used to be a T/O eGroup on Yahoo which may produce some answers if no one here has one.
