Hard boiled eggs are great to keep on hand, because you can boil a dozen of them at a time, then stash in the fridge for quick meals.

What's your stool softener budget, Chris?

It's not really an issue, Pigmeat. That may be more of an old wives tale? I do eat a fair bit of lower carb veggies like green beans and broccoli.
I should have arranged the food on the plate to look like a radio, the eggs could have been the knobs. Fansome approved!

I forget about the boiled egg and broccoli gas propulsion factor. Make sure your exit valve closes tightly.
I've seen a couple of SDR's for sale with knobs lately. Perhaps Al's campaign is working?
It scares me when any of Al's plans start working. Zombie Amelia-Belinda bots buzzing the countryside singing discordantly could happen before we know it. When a man with JTA's dead cat stapled to his head can win the Presidency, anything is possible.

Years ago, I started baking the bacon in the oven.
These days (especially, this morning & tomorrow morning):
- Put aluminum+parchment (aluminum down, parchment up) on a cookie sheet
- Put bacon on it
- Bake in oven at ~400 deg (temp doesn't matter, but watch the progress, especially the higher it goes)
- Remove flat bacon, and all pieces at the same time.
- Wait for a while when cookie sheet cools and dispose of aluminum+parchment.
- Minor cleaning to cookie sheet.

And lose all those perfectly good drippings? Who raised you? It obviously wasn't wolves, they don't chuck out the best part. You fry taters in the lard, and make gravy out of what's left. Or you pour the grease in a cut off milk carton to cool and use later.
Skeez, this food board has brought out an anti-lard side of you I never expected. I'm going to go hang out with the penguin hater, at least he's a lard man.

Au contraire. I grab some of the drippings and put it in the frypan with the butter to cook the eggs.
However, I do cook the bacon until its nice & crispy, then soak the grease off with a paper towel to ensure maximum crispiness.
