Title: Dasher 5170 USB 03:27 UTC 26 April 2017
Post by: RST111 on April 26, 2017, 0330 UTC
Strange, almost like a time signal.  19 dits then a dah.  Repeat.  Faster than 1/second though.

SINPO 25422 on my IC-R75

FWIW, Taiwan SSB meteorological broadcasting is theoretically scheduled now on this frequency.

I think that signal is Link-11 at 1364 bits per second in Conventional Link Eleven Waveform (CLEW).

See http://www.sigidwiki.com/wiki/Link-11

Thanks!  Might have been; listening to the audio samples on the link I'm still not sure.

If I run into it again, I'll record it and post it to the ID board.

Yes, there is, and has been for a while, a Link 11 CLEW on 5171 kHz.  Sometimes USB, sometimes ISB or DSB.

T!

You know it's link11 when you hear "dink dink dink brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr dink dink dink".
