Propagation has not been very kind but did manage to log a few over the past weeks, signals have not been good across the HF band.
Very strange the entire period I did not hear KVM-70 Honolulu Radio on HF at all, not a trace, is it off air or out of propagation range? Had a friend in northern Australia listen and he has heard nothing from Honolulu Volmet either. USA east coast strong 0n 20m this afternoon but nothing from Honolulu Volmet. Is there any one hearing it?
Likewise JIA New Tokyo Radio has been very poor signal or not heard at all. Nothing at all from South America or Europe. Strange it was the other day I was hearing San Fransisco 5X5 working aircraft on 13MHz but nothing from Honolulu Radio at the appointed time on 13.282MHz.

Do you usually get Honolulu? I never have, even though I can pick up Auckland on the same frequencies with regularity. Where's your QTH, if I may ask?

MDK2: KVM-70 Honolulu Volmet was a regular here on 6.679, 8.828 and 13.282MHz USB up until around eight days ago, not a thing heard since, also friend 2,000km north of me is not hearing it either and he runs a mega station.
sat_dxer not hearing it either. I had USA and Hawaii quite good on 20m yesterday afternoon, a KH6 checked into a net and he was 5X8 here with basic station. However, nothing on 13.282MHz from KVM-70 Honolulu.
Appears it is off air, maybe they have rationalised the system and it has been retired or the main transmitter has had a major problem?

Since the KVM 70 FAX Schedule is still on as of 1500z 30Jul 2017 on 11090kHz, its likely the lack of any METAR or TAF updates would make repeated "No report received" messages no help to IFSS users.
Transcribed Wx Broadcasts (TWEB) were once very common to hear on NDB (L/MF) facilities (190 - 535 kHz).

So it looks like KVM-70 has ceased with Volmet reporting on 6.679, 8.828 and 13.282MHz USB, as to the reason why is an optional guess?
Might have a sneak around Google and see if I can find the government agency that runs KVM-70 and see if there is a statement concerning its demise. ;)

Had a good 30 minutes on Google looking for details on KVM-70 and closest I got was the NOAA web site but nothing of note there, mainly covers news about their maritime section and not aviation Volmet.
Nothing reported either from other Utility DX web sites either, the mystery goes unsolved. :D
