As a test, I also recorded DGPS using the small active loop and LZ1AQ amplifier (not the big PVC loop I am working on) and the netSDR. This ran for a shorter period of time, 0417-1200z vs 2351-1200z with the AFE822 and beverage.
Interesting, I got more decodes from Angleton vs the AFE822/beverage, 33 vs 17. This approach might be worth pursuing. Which is good, I originally bought the LZ1AQ amp for DGPS. One test will be to use it with the big PVC loop.

The decode rate is very erratic with step changes. This suggests I may have a loose connection with the loop.

I can't really control the orientation. It actually has two orthogonal loops, but I notice one is noisier than the other. Now with the weird pattern I observed overnight, I want to take a closer look at it, I might have some bad wiring or something. My plan might be to run it in crossed mode with both loops. Another plan is to use the amp with the big PVC loop. I have more plans than time, however.
