Post by: R4002 on September 14, 2017, 1503 UTC
UNID two way voice communications
Date: 14-SEPT-2017
Time: 1500 UTC (log start and tune in time)
Frequency: 14548 kHz 14.548 MHz
Mode: USB
Language: Spanish
Presumed Users/Remarks/Logs:

Sadly I'm running late but I wanted to make another log before I forgot.  Like the Spanish language traffic heard this morning on the 13 MHz band and 14 MHz band, the communications heard on this frequency (1500 UTC +) sound like a mixture between health and welfare (emergency or disaster relief) traffic, maritime traffic, and just regular old amateur radio like "ragchewing" or casual banter...like what is usually heard on 68xx kHz and 69xx kHz later on in the afternoon to late evening/early morning.  At least three stations talking on 14548 USB...possible that I'm only hearing three stations but there are more around.  Lots of Spanish language curse words, talking about a radio with "24 channels" or maybe talking about "channel 24".  Lots of "rushing" QRM on this frequency, unlike the other 13/14 MHz logs from today, which were mostly all clear channels safe for very slight QRM from WWV on 15000 kHz (QRM affecting the Spanish speakers logged on 14992 kHz USB).
