DGPS conditions have been dismal the past few days, coinciding when the DST index (which you clued me into) dropped.

Propagation was all to the south over the weekend... logged 52 U.S. NDBs to only 32 Canadian... usually the other way around.

We've noticed that frequently with the DGPS beacons as well.

While it was true that AB was in at that time, so were other areas. I was working live this AM, and noted the first AB (X2 329). I opened up a list of ABs and started checking for ABs unlogged this season or all time. I was able to log a couple more before it was time to get ready for work. All in all a productive morning.

I have always been partial to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Portage La Prarie, Manitoba - where they had to carry their canoes over the prairie between bodies of water - and Qu'Appelle, Saskatchewan, because it's an unanswered question.
About Riviere du Loup: I bet you don't get as excited about the Wolf River, near Oshkosh, Wisconsin. ;) ;D

Very interesting, looks like all looong north-south propagation and not much east-west stuff.

Looks that way. Actually, most of this was from a 2 Part CLE between Christmas and New Years. In Part 1 you chose a bearing, and logged up to 10 NDBs in each state or country crossed by that bearing. I chose 150 degrees, and that line would cross IL, IN, KY, TN, NC, SC, GA, CUB, BAH, CLM, BRA, and PRG. I did not include the logs from USA in this post, and only added those from Cuba on south. In Part 2, you had to log as many NDBs as possible which are above the Arctic Circle. Most of these for me would be due north in NU and are in the post.
This was a fun event, and there is a listener in TX who is rocking it with logs from South America. My NY Resolution is to try to hear as many of these as possible. As we approach the solar min, this will become easier - hopefully - with time.

I'm new registered to this forum...
Just starting to discover the NDB-band at low frequency from 250kHz up to 500khz
My location is in the western part of Belgium, semi-rural almost flat area, agricultural sourrounding.

My amateur radio call is ON5KQ ...
Last night (5th to 6th of Febr) especially at about 22h utc on 5thFebr, I heard NDB "LT" from most northern part of Canada very loud ! I think the Signal to noise ratio in my 200Hz CW-filter was about 15db or more... amazing!
Also some USA amateur stations heard on 474khz Amateurradio band in WSPR mode. So there seem to be good conditions !
My antenna is a very large EWE antenna to Northwest for the bands below 500kHz - 20m vertical up - 60m horizontal at 20m - 20m vertical down to ground swamp resistor 500Ohm, feeding with broadband matching transformer.
This antenna is much more quit than my 170m Beverage in the same direction and at the same time the giant EWE has same voltage output (same efficiency) than the Beverage.... so really great antenna, which I would recommend for DGPS/NDB band.
The antenna is spanned between two high trees.
I made recordings from last night and will process the files for DGPS decoding and post the results in the DGPS file of this Forum...

Another NY... for some strange reason, NY is pretty much a black hole here.
Took me over 5 years to log the two beacons at Buffalo (204 GB, 231 BU).
Should be an easy almost straight path across the Lake to here. ???
