Title: What is up on 6944 kHz 2320 29 Nov 2017???

See screenshot...not sure what mode this is, but it's the first time i've seen it pop up in the 43m pirate band.

That's Link-11. It turns up from time to time in the 43 meter band, I think it was last there a few months ago.

double side band (duplicated Link-11) has been hanging out in the 6940 kHz to 6950 kHz range a lot more often lately.  It stops right at the edge on 6949.9 kHz making 6950 kHz USB viable...but 6950 AM a disaster. 

Wouldn't want to interfere with US military transmissions, especially given the current geopolitical climate.

Indeed, interfering with a US mil signal could get them (branch of service and fcc both) to dfing, and then to knocking on doors (fbi and perhaps nis). Much more so than mere privateering alone will get fedz to dfing.
