Very good reception today. It started off at S7-S8, faded about one S unit as the broadcast went on. Relatively brief message today.

From my logs this is a freq and time slot they last used about 6 months ago. Looking at historic activity they seem to leave this freq for months at a time, and typically most used during winter months.

Interesting. I wasn't at my station at that time (got a lot going on then) but I did look to see if there was a carrier at 4925 about five minutes before the broadcast and didn't see one. I don't know whether it came up closer to the broadcast, or wasn't propagating to my QTH, or if the supremely high noise floor I have there was enough to hide it completely. Usually I can still see a carrier if one is reaching me, even if I can't copy any audio.

Unless the clock on the SDR computer that was recording the signals was wrong, on Dec 11 on 4925 kHz the carrier came up for the 1430 UTC transmission at 1415:02 UTC. The carrier went off at 1440:40 UTC. Just must have been a bad morning for prop to your location.

Thanks for checking! It's good to know what's making it here, and what isn't.
