Thanks Daniel for keeping us all updated on the latest news from Brazil.  It seems free radio is alive in well in Brazil!

Can you please provide a complete list of all the free radio stations currently on the air in Brazil (and their contact information if you have it)?  (Thus far I've only heard Radio Casa on 8000 kHz via a webSDR).

Thanks!

I also thank you Daniel; you are our number one source of information for Brazilian pirates.  It's interesting that so many of these stations use WhatsApp as a way of contacting them.

Thanks to your excellent list, I will keep trying to hear these stations.

Yes, thank you very much Daniel, these lists are very useful!

What are the typical operating times for these types of stations? While it will likely be very difficult for us to get reception here in the US, it might be easier if we knew what time(s) of the day we should be listening. Looking at your logs, I see times in the 2000-2300 time period, give or take. Are they on later, when we have a dark path?

I assume these are mostly low power stations, in the tens of watts?

VOACAP shows good reception from 3-7UTC from southern Brazil to Maryland and reduced conditions from 2300-0300 and 0700 to 1100z.

FWIW in regard to my transmissions I've heard from other Latin American countries, but never Brazil.  I suspect the language barrier might be part of the problem, the other may have something to do with the geography, mountains being a poor reflection path and all...
