Title: KARR 6925u
Post by: Zane on March 21, 2011, 0158 UTC
KARR, 6925u, 3-21-11, SINPO 25332
Lotsa metal with some hip hop thrown in. KARR ID at 0150z.

0156z - Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction
0216z - KARR ID. Little weaker - still above the noise. Lotsa Iron Maiden tunes making me think of the excellent '08 tour rockumentary.
0219z - AC/DC - Have A Drink On Me
0232z - Sounded like op came on live - heard what sounded like "KARR mobile"

0135z: Metal and hip-hop tunes, don't recognize anything so far.
0149z: KARR ID, distinctive Daleks/Cylon voice
0156z: Megadeth "Symphony of Destruction"
0210z: AC/DC "Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution"
0215z: KARR ID
0231z: Heard what sounded like live on mic bit, "Sorry about the pause there..." then faded before I could copy the rest.
0305z: Alice in Chains "Man In The Box"
0313z: Op on mic during AC/DC "Back in Black", still stronger here with indoor loop than via a couple remotes with outdoor antennas.  Weird conditions.

Fair peaks, lots of rapid fades.  Not quite strong enough to copy anything other than familiar songs.  Hearing occasional voice bits from announcer, can't make 'em out here.

Comparing my reception at home via the indoor fugloop, I'm getting better reception than several remote tuners I've tried tonight across N. America.  Wisconsin and Nova Scotia were pretty good too, also just audible via a Pacific tuner, but generally stronger here at home with just the passive indoor loop.
