Title: Unid data/utes 6913 & 6925-6930
Post by: Zoidberg on March 23, 2011, 0306 UTC
3/23/11
This evening several of us heard what sounded like data tones, possibly modem or RTTY, between 6925-6930.  Wasn't bad via Palstar's narrow filter but in comparing various global tuner remotes around N. American, the tones were strong and wide enough to QRM 6925 and 6930.  Didn't sound like SSTV.  Also the usual pesque chatter around 6930 LSB, same fellow repeating "hola!"

Also, on 6913 there was unusually strong and wide HF fax, presumably wefax but I don't have a decoder running.  Sounds similar to SSTV but it's definitely fax.

6913 is normal for weatherfax..check rfax.pdf.
The FSK, however, was strong up in the NE USA. Had a veeerryyy large shift, I think it was 400hz.
