Title: 216 CLB ?
Post by: pinto vortando on September 09, 2018, 1440 UTC
Is 216  CLB  Wilmington  NC  still on the air ?
Haven't heard it lately.
198  DIW  Dixon  NC had a nice signal in here this morning but CLB nowhere to be heard.

I have a weak signal from DIW at 1723z. No sign of CLB, usually it comes in well here. Hmm.

Oh well, another one bites the dust.
That was a real powerhouse, could almost always count on receiving it here at night.
Thanks for the replies.

It seems to be a race between the NDBs and DGPS stations going off the air. Although it seems most of the rest of the world is keeping their DGPS stations for now. Madeira vanished a few months ago, and Gatun Panama often vanishes for months only to return again (it is off at the present).
