1554 Weak but getting audio, SIO 222?
1955 Gone
2021 Back again
2115 Back to a carrier.
-
Can't pick it up locally, but getting a nice low-noise S6 on a KiwiSDR in PA.

1628 Rolling Stones - You Can't Always Get What You Want, SIO 343

1650. S5 to S7 at best at this point. With discernable music.

Wish I had more time to listen, but I have to run. This is all via:
http://kiwisdr.dlinkddns.com:8073/
1634 The Beatles - Norwegian Wood
1636 Credence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising
1638 Elvis Presley - If I Can Dream
1642 Several seconds of unmodulated carrier ... sounded like the opening to Ray Charles - Georgia on My Mind - Cut Off
1642 Elton John - Bennie and the Jets
1647 Bob Seger - Old Time Rock and Roll
Now S6-S8 but propagation must be getting worse, because the overall sound quality is worse than when I started listening.

Relay Station 6880 kHz 6.880 MHz AM 2030 UTC 11 Sept 2018
2032 UTC - "Proud Mary" with fading and some QRN but good sounding audio especially on peaks
2035 UTC - The Band - The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down
-
Oldies, including Rollin on the River using PA KIWI site....reception from other Kiwi sites in MD and PA is worse...

i was at 50 watts carrier when you heard me form the northern east coast of the US.
i generally end broadcast at 2200z but i extended it for a little bit for testing since i was preparing a good friend of mine for remote broadcasting to my station in the near future.

I already heard a carrier on 6880.0 at 2030 utc, but no audio at all, so I did not report it: it could have been anything from elsewhere. Then, at 2200 utc, the NA path is just opening (a bit earlier with the automn soon beginning). But it was not easy listening at all, and I was almost falling from my chair (midnight here), so I did not stay listening.
The merit for good receiving here is due to the antennas :
doublets (center-fed) with bifilar line and balanced ATU. Presently, I have two doublets, a far one with a twisted line, and a near one with open line (often stronger, but not so quiet). For weak signals, I have to tune the system carefully.
Hope to hear you again on 6880 before 2200 during the next weeks .
Ray
