Good signal here using SAM mode. 12.6kHz bandwidth, and possibly a suppressed carrier mode? Thanks for the show.
-
Finally hearing this signal way out here at 2257 UTC, as Stevie Wonder's "My Cherie Amour" was on. Not a great signal, but finally well above the noise floor, despite some unknown QRM.
Update at 0041 UTC: The signal's hovering pretty consistently around S3-S5 here, which is not great, but good enough to make "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode boom through.
-
Good signal in New Hampshire, S7 and nicely above the noise

A very respectable signal on the west coast of British Columbia as of 0025Z. Peaking at S5 on a Drake R8B receiver using a G5RV antenna. Audio sounds good with the 4 kHz filter selected.
-
S9+ with very good audio
Paul Simon - Mother and Cild Reunion
YL ID
Thanks for the show.

Decent signal here in the Mojave Desert of California, about S7 or so. Looks to be about 13.5 kHz wide at times, interesting. I am finding the best listening with the RX filter set at about 5 kHz, wider than that and it just becomes too bright. I did crank the filter out to 12 and 13 kHz just to try it, but resumed about 5 kHz width after that.
T!

After many weeks of hearing no pirate I finally hear one: Mix Radio International on 6870 USB on September 22 at 0027.
Strong signal and good audio playing classic rock and pop.
-
Listening in Ontario. Very nice signal for the past hour or so. SINPO 55445. There is a dead carrier on ~6870.89 but it is much weaker and not causing too much QRM.
It's rare that SSB sounds this good. I see approximately 13 - 14 KHz bandwidth.
I also see some unintended sideband though - between DC and ~700 Hz there is almost no rejection of the unintended and the LSB is as strong as the USB, with much higher attenuation above ~700 Hz. It is sort of listenable on the LSB but the audio quality suffers for the reasons above.
Cheers.
EDIT: propagation went into the toilet around 0204 UTC. Faded down to noise level.
-
Good reception at 01:59 UTC on the west coast. USB, but poorer audio noted on LSB, but not on AM/SAM on my Perseus SDR. Go figure? Much stronger than 6920U, the only other pirate I can hear at this time, as sunset approaches.
-
Heck yeah Keweenaw Peninsula copy very clear.
But right now atm, (2:13z) this is weird music and it's trippin me out just a little bit! ;D
