The same two guys I often hear in or near 49 meters. Good copy, chatting about various things fishing industry related.

Glad to hear these guys are still on the air - this time using a legal HF-SSB marine frequency 6212 kHz - I wonder if this is their "official" channel and the 6095 kHz and similar frequencies in 49 meters and 43 meters they've been heard on are their "off the record" channels since they're outside the 6 MHz HF marine band....

1127 UTC - Hearing them again this morning 16 Oct. 2018 on 61212.2 USB. Some fine salty talk going on.
1130 UTC - Conversation ended one guy went to take a nap.

6212.2 kHz or 6122.2 kHz Presuming 6212.2 kHz USB, I wonder if its the same group of fishing boats using 6212 kHz and other frequencies as a chat channel. Any actual callsigns heard?
I did a FCC DB search for active licenses under radio service codes SB - Ship Compulsory Equipped and SA - Ship Recreational or Voluntarily Equipped in Massachusetts and it came back with 2163 licenses, many of them either private individuals or fishing companies. Callsign formats are mostly WAB1234 type (AAANNNN).

These guys have never used a callsign. They also operate within the 49m SWBC band.

And the 43 meter fixed/mobile 6765-7000 kHz band!
Chances are they have, or at least at one point, had, a callsign/callsigns for a license...as I imagine most legit fisheries do for their fleets. That, or they just run HF radios without licenses. On the high seas it doesn't really matter does it? :D
