So here's what my question is... :o
Got an old BAse radio(motorola) it was used for Tow truck company..
My problem is it's at 40MHz anyway to change this to say.... ??? 88.5 Mhz? ???
Idea's?

None of the type of fm-modulation radios used for voice communications (business type radios, etc) are likely to be suitable for broadcast use, even if you did change the frequency. That type of FM modulation is a much narrower bandwidth than what is needed for 'FM broadcast'.
I had much the same idea once upon a time, but was assured it would not work well.

It would certainly give a station a "unique" sound that would be unmatched by anything else on the air, that's for sure.

That's dirt cheap for 5 watts. Needless to say, you should use a low-pass filter after it.
