- today during the day at 7055 there was no activity
- at 3731 LSB until noon there was Hide Park without a leading UA station.
2310 alternately on 3731 and 3735 LSB typical UA propaganda
0020 on 3735 OM UA said "ja oficer"= I'm an officer
we already know that it is a military station located in the Carpathians.
- the Russians radio amateurs try to bark and disturb but are vulgarly sworn
you can not hear the RU propaganda station
-
Are these Russian and Ukrainian amateur operators jamming each other or are they actually Russian military stations transmitting in the 80 meter band?
-
Hi All - I will try to sort out the current observations.
- since the annexation of Ukraine's lands by Russia (February 2014), both countries are conducting a propaganda war on amateur bands, using military transmitters with a few kW power. The idea is to reach the radio amateurs' environment, and the UA site even conducts chating live.
- During daylight hours, both parties use the FRQ 7055 LSB and either shout over or one of them is not inactive. No identifiers are given - these are not HAMs. Speakers are not professionals, but probably they are employees of propaganda services and nowhere else do they work ("I am an officer" entrusted to UA man).
- FRQ 3731 and 3735 LSB are used in the evening. Leading stations probably use the same transmitters and locations as on 40mb - I recognize the voices of the speakers.
- RU station does not discuss with listeners, but UA talks with HAMs, vulgarly curses, ridicules, criticizes invaders and threatens death.
- there are periods of inactivity of the leading stations, but the HAMs of both sides breathe on themselves and without them. I have also heard UA talks with HAMs from EU.

History in the making, hope you get recordings. Apparently Russia has recently moved up a lot of troops and armor just across the border with Ukraine, hope they don't initiate mass stupidity.

I guess I'm not listening at the right time or via the right remote receiver...I checked a KiwiSDR in Moscow, Russia the other afternoon (night local time in Moscow) and didn't hear anything on 3731 kHz or 3735 kHz. I'll have to check to see if there are any receivers in Ukraine that might be worth checking out to hear this first hand.
