Title: Sunshine Radio 529 on 7705 kHz
Post by: JoeFLIPS on December 04, 2018, 1906 UTC
 Saw this posted on the FRN by Bram Stoker and he is looking for some help regarding this station. Does anyone have any insights on this?

  7705 Sunshine Radio 529; 1208-1222+, 12/1; Variety pop music;
IDs @1214 & 1221. SIO=243+ to about 1222 then dropped off.

Pirate? Nothing on 7705 in Aoki/EiBi.

Anybody have anything on this? Please post.

I don't know if it's related, but a guy and girl used to run "Grasscutter Radio" just over a decade ago. He used the name Grasscutter and she was Sunshine.

I can clear this one up.
What was heard was an old recording of Sunshine Radio 539. This was a Dublin Ireland station from the 1980's.

The recording was one of many played to commemorate the closure of the Irish pirate stations 30 years ago (Dec 31st).
