Title: M89 3.156Mhz CW
Post by: Looking-Glass on January 06, 2019, 1801 UTC
All the regular M89 stations seem to have vanished this way over the past three or four days however, logged this new one weak this morning my time (1750z time):

3.156MHz  CW  "v 3JWV 3JWV 3JWV de QH4P QH4P" 219-319 report at best.

No other M89 stations found on the usual frequencies...strange.

I was wondering where to report my logging this morning right in the 80m ham band.

I think I found it!  CW maybe 20wpm.

V 3JWV 3JWV 3JWV DE QH4P QH4P

3597.02 khz   1615z   8:15am local time here in California.. Can only hear this one during my +/- dawn hours. Far east?

signal strength just above my S2 noise level.  Similar to Looking-Glass: 219-319 report at best

Apparently causing quite a stir on the ARC-5 reflector according to a friend.  Speculation that it is Chinese military.

Mudpuppy, good catch, can also hear your logging here on 3.597MHz CW, it's an M89 Chinese Military, it seems to be running in tandem with 3.156MHz as both the same Roundslip and in unison transmission wise.  Both are 519 report this way into east coast of Australia.
