Title: Frequency Manager Airspy HF+ Question
Post by: 8 tattoos on January 21, 2019, 2257 UTC
what exactly does the frequency manager do? Also I often see Chris Smolinski say he made a recorder catch. Do you record a frequency range, for example 6925 to 6950? If you did this for an extended period of time wouldn't the resulting audio file be very large? Do you have the capability to set a record start and stop time?

When recording, I mean I record I/Q data, not audio. I typically record 6800-7000 kHz, 275-325 kHz (for DGPS) plus sometimes other bands.

Yes the files are large, for the 43m band recordings, about 4GB per hour.

Thanks! Got it. Sine wave /90 degrees out of phase, sideband  etc. Still learning.
