Hello Everyone, the snow has finally melted and I was able to get my antenna up today so the beacon is on the air. Here are the details.
Frequency: 13562.8
Call: MN (13 WPM CW)
Grid Locator: EN34fw
Location: Shorewood, MN
Antenna: Dipole at 40 feet. Radiating mostly North and South
Schedule: Should be on 24/7 unless I decide to use the antenna for a listening session.
Details: Beacon is a Black Cat Systems kit.
Reports welcome!

I'm about 6 miles west of you but I was unable to pick up "MN" over the weekend. You're on a good, quiet frequency, above frequent, strong industrial noise around 13560 and below some intermittent, weaker noise around 13564. A few times I detected a signal exactly on 13562.8, but it was too weak to identify as CW. So this 6 mile path (much of it over water) might be "DX" at this power level -- requiring some propagation mode other than groundwave. I'll certainly let you know if I hear you. Good luck and have fun.

Well thanks for trying. Propagation on these little signals truly is strange.
