Could very well be Ary.
Well, if they call out numbers, they're a number station to me  ;) 8)
They were also active tonight, this time a male voice and he didn't just count to ten.

Sorry to disappoint you, my Great Grandparents came to Australia as "Landed Gentry" from Scotland, so sans the ball and chain... :)

Being a Scottish descendant I enjoy a good quality Scotch and can be considered very frugal with money! ;D

Having been to the former USSR a few times in the 80's I can attest to the vodka culture, and they are proud of it. Like the Scots, the Russians are a very hardy lot.

I'm Dutch and the Dutch can be frugal with money too.  ;) Though we don't have a Scotch or Vodka culture, more of a beer culture.

On topic: the counting was there every night at the same time. Sometimes a man, sometimes a woman.

Dare ya to beat the traditional Fin breakfast of a pot of hot coffee, a bottle of vodka, and a single cig.

So is it 0800 UTC or 2000 UTC?

It's eight o'clock at night. To be more precise 20:03 o'clock.

Not hearing it this way, just on verge of Grey Line at that time frame too, will keep looking when time permits.

*count to ten to configure the receiver

Sounds like somebody doing a radio check, so I would be leaning forward military?

Interesting frequency choice considering how many pirates like to hang out on and around 6880 kHz.  Not like the Russian military really cares much :D

And they are still counting. This is tonight's recording of a female voice. This time, at te end, I believe a man says something like "out" and she then ends the broadcast.
I find the intonation and the way things a going a bit odd for military, but maybe that is for a reason.
