Title: Station heard under WWV 10 mHz 2153 23 May 2019
Post by: flexoman61 on May 23, 2019, 2204 UTC
2153z

Hearing what may be a Asian ladies voice under WWV on 10 mHz. Not WWVH. Also possibly a digital mode that sounds something like a SELCAL.

Faint but it's there. Is this an Asian time station?

Thought I saw a post about something like this recently but couldn't find it.

Faded out by 2200z. Getting a few more fade ups.

thanks

Nice catch, never heard it far as I can remember. I'm guessing you caught it via longpath in the dark.

I copied BPM in Florida in 2017. Unfortunately I didn't have my log with me so the details are escaping me, but as best as I can remember it was early daylight hours at 5 MHz, meaning short path night propagation. I got WWV on 25 MHz on that same trip, and Old Time Radio on 6770 kHz late one night so conditions were good on that visit.

I often get both WWV and BPM at the same time in the morning
