Title: YHWH 7480 AM 0256 UTC 28 May 2019
Post by: Ron - Calif. on May 28, 2019, 0430 UTC
7480-AM, YHWH (religious pirate). Yes, he is back again! May 28, from tune in at 0256 UTC till tuned out at 0315;
QRN (static); started out fair, but went downhill till finally unusable by 0315. Delivering his usual recorded diatribe.
My local sunset was at 0317. My audio at http://bit.ly/2MatUTB .

Ron, listening at Asilomar State Beach, CA
Etón E1, antenna: 100' long wire

Thanks for the recording.  I've heard him before and assumed I was tuned to WBCQ.

This guy has already been popped, they won't go easy on him next time.

He's been popped at least twice. He's Col. Steve Anderson and Jimmy The Weasel rolled into one.

That's pretty unfair.

To Jimmy The Weasel, I mean.

Thanks for the recording. His diatribe sounded a bit odd.

Yes - he got the knock a few years back - he's been unlogged (off air?) since last October I think - now that he's back he may broadcast 5 or 6 nites a week on the same freq - maybe 7480 this go around?
That music he plays gives me the willies....

I suspect the next step will be incarceration, maybe he's ok with that.

For those of you who have not yet heard the song "Days of Hard Life"-(author unknown), here is a google drive link to this rather spooky sounding ditty. This was his theme song. I recorded it off air when he was allowed to do a show over WBCQ some time back.

IIRC, his first bust/knock was the result of him broadcasting within the ham bands [on 3845 kHz / 3.845 MHz I believe], which (naturally) gathered a lot of attention.  Now that's hes outside the ham bands he may stand a chance of going longer before somebody drops a dime.

FYI

FCC letter (December 2014) to him:

Earlier in 2014, heard him in the 40m band (7125 kHz.). My audio back then -

Any educated guesses on how much wattage he's pushing out?  He sounded good the time I heard him, as I mentioned I had assumed I was tuned to WBCQ.

I've never copied him well, so I don't think it's a whole lot.
