-
on 6525.0+ very weak here
1938 pop, hard to tell about, 1942 next,
pops, slowly fading up, soul or Tamla alike, 1945 non stop again : keyboard (60's ?),
still non stop at 2003
2049 just a trace
2104 very weak, music 2116 music, talking (no copy), music (Tamla alike)
2229 non stop pops, more or less in soul/Tamla style, 2327 going on
Could this be a new frequency for Radio Sovereign?

Back in the day there was Station Sierra Sierra active on 6525.
Is this the revival of a former UK pirate??
-
Tentatively IDed on chat as Lazer Hot Hits
-
Audible on 6526, still playing motown.
Swiss SDR , PEAKING s6 as I type.
VERY SHORT OCCASIONAL BURSTS OF UTE ON 6525.

And just for Anorak purposes, here is an old website Station Sierra Sierra used back in the day.

Yep, back then Sierra Sierra was assisted by the short-lived Live Wire Radio for transmitter repairs and aerial design. Both stations were believed to be based in the Midlands of England.
On at least a couple of occasions, WMR (Scotland) broadcast in AM mode on low power on 6525 seeking QSOs with the small group of 6.6 Mhz 'Echo Charlie' sidebanders, one or two of whom
claimed to be transmitting from a lay-by, or were even announcing they were operating mobile.

Very interesting. Paul Stuart, who ran Station Sierra Sierra, went on to join the team at Laser Hot Hits. But he seems to have left LHH as he has not been heard on there for a while.
I wonder if he has decided to revive Station Sierra Sierra. The signal on 6525 was good with non-stop Motown or Northern Soul music, but I didn't hear any IDs.
It would be good if another UK pirate from the past is making a return.

Just received a message from a reliable source that the station on 6525 kHz has nothing to do with Paul Stewart.
However, Paul Stuart can now be heard on legal radio "103 The Eye"
Pop over to the website and check out the presenter's page. ;)
