I'd lay money down it's DSP. And that could be a mixed bag. I bought a DSP AM/FM headset radio a couple years ago for $10 and it sucked. But we all know DSP can make cheap radios work well, too.... It all depends on the design and QC department of whichever company or factory is making the product.

I got one, the most amazing thing is it actually works to the degree expected. No dsp seen so far, just analog chips and discretes.

Why order just one at $9.59, when you can get a pallet of 60 for $264.6 - that's only $4.41 per unit. You could use a new one every day for 2 months and just throw it out when you change your underwear (may not apply to Fansome):

This stuff is really designed to feed the pipeline of absolutely rock bottom dollar trash on Amazon. Amazon used to be good but now it's the Dollar Tree of the internet.

Mine rattles. The speaker is loose. And there is a crack in the case. You can’t get a quality $9.59 radio anymore <G>.

The solution is obvious, you buy glue from the "Department of Life" section: http://www.winningmart.com/category-362-b0.html

I like this shameless rip off of Sony radios, right down to the packaging and the "ICF" nomenclature: http://www.winningmart.com/goods-54083.html
