Title: SDR RSP2 receiver shutting down (Windows error)
Post by: Matt285 on February 25, 2020, 2156 UTC
I've noticed my RSP2 has been shutting off a lot lately, particularly when looking at other windows tabs. The following error comes up-

'SDRuno Error : Device cannot be initialized (sdr play _ api Fail

It is an older laptop. Any input would be great. Thats all I can post. I know its hard to diagnose computer issues via this method. Hoping it's a simple/common issue. Thanks

This may be due to your CPU being temporarily overloaded. Close unnecessary programs.
My SDR-FL-Play also hangs sometimes in such situations. I am very pleased with this RSP1 / 2 clone.
I have an SDR load of up to 15% Sys around 30%.
Any day, I'll have a laptop with more RAM and a Win10 system.
I think there will be no more suspensions.

Thanks for the reply Kris. I will try to delete unneeded space when I have a chance. I try to just keep HF.underground and the website I use for referencing shortwave stations up. Going to update the laptop in the next month or two and keep things as basic as possible.
