Tnx Scott for the 'WAS' report. You gave the details that make it a meaningful report. Interesting that you heard me since I am just east of Raleigh. I think you have heard WAS before. What is your receiving antenna?

ABBY & AA8HS were new ones for me. WAS is a repeat but a tough one since we're so close. I was using a Realistic DX-150 & 20m inverted-v up about 15ft fed with 1/2 wl of 300 Ohm line. Had to pick the id's out of a mini pileup.

13561   "MR AM 1500 CF OH V V V"

Buried in the ISM noise. New CW beacon or an advertisement? Used to be a "MR X" on a couple years ago.

Scott, could you tell from the pitch of the audio whether AA8HS was above or below ABBY in frequency?

Checked the tapes and AA8HS was lower in frequency than ABBY. The published freqs on lwca.org show about 4kc but didn't sound that far on the DX-150.

Hello,

Abby sits at about 13566.70 give or take a few depending on temperature and drift. It has been monitored for weeks in New foundland Island Canada by v01fog.

Thanks very much. I expect he's moved but didn't update the listing. I'll see if we can get that changed.

Followup on AA8HS: I found that ~13566 was the frequency he originally started out on, but in August of 2018 the signal was heard by a reliable reporter on the lower frequency, so that's why it was showing that way in the list. Apparently he's back on or near the original spot now. The list should be updated again some time this weekend.
