UNID 6906 AM 0050 UTC / 8:50PM EDT playing music and announcements in Spanish - maybe? Very weak signal and easier to hear in USB mode...

UPDATE - this may not be a true AM signal - it has a carrier at 6906 but I only get clean audio in USB. First time finding this ever for me...

They have a carrier and USB only.

A Spanish speaking station with music.

Only S5 here in central Georgia.

Thanks to RadioRandy for his detective work!

Mystery solved. This is not a pirate - it is an authorized test of a proposed radio station in Venezuela - currently running only 50 watts!

"6906 kHz, El Tigre, Anzoátegui, Venezuela, is testing now, relaying “93.7 FM Así Suena”. Later, also plants to relay “La Voz del Tigre”, 980 kHz."
