Title: RX888 housing is no grounding

     Attention> obvious defect in all receivers!
The housing is not connected to the ground of the receiver.
 The housing is made of an aluminum profile. It is black due to a chemical treatment called oxidation.
The metal surface is coated with aluminum oxides and colored black - it reflects heat better.
     Unfortunately, these oxides are an insulator. The screwing of the antenna sockets, despite the grooved lace washers, does not provide electrical contact. There is no other way but to scrape the black coating back against the white metal. I did it like this on the front panel under the socket nuts and mounting screws. The screws closing the housing are also oxidized steel, but they are conductive, but to ensure the electrical connection of the wall of the sockets with the rest of the housing, you need to scrape the oxidation at their contact.

     On the inside side, there is a gap between the socket body and the wall that needs to be filled by adding an additional washer. This enables the socket nuts to be tightened firmly, which ensures good electrical contact with the wall.

Take the drill and sharp knife. ;D


Important - the same applies to the housing of the SDR-FE-PLAY receiver.
                 It is in a natural aluminum color, but also ligh oxidized
                 to keep its beautiful color without stains.
                    The PCB has gold-plated contact pads in the corners, but it is loose in the housing guide.
                Instead of scraping the housing, you can eliminate the play by inserting a thin strip of copper foil
                into the guide. The guide cavity is unoxidised.
