0101 6304 SIO 333, RU bastard hears here for the second time.
Ugly unbalanced AM modulation, decaying carrier and even understandable at 10kHz NBFM.
Uses the nickname "Nol Odin" = Ziro One. It calls "tretij rajon kolektiw" = 3-th zone group
"no ni kawo nie słyszu" = nobody can't hear.
0140 he hears: the "blesna trojka" and "pietiorka Rostow"

Interesting catch! How often do you find Russians operating in this frequency range, and what times are they usually on the air? I'd like to try to hear them here.
-
I often follow 6305 because this FRQ is used by European free radio operators.
I've seen bastards here for the second or third time between 23 and 01 UTC. I found the end of the chat and didn't manage to get to know the content of the conversation. I thought it was a maritime service - probably fishermen. A strong signal indicates a transmitter power of about 1 kW, but the former Russian military can easily get demobilized transmitters of such power. Yesterday's listening session explained that a new informal group was meeting there, littering the canal. Communication is sluggish, with long breaks and technical problems, often vulgar vocabulary, lack of efficiency of HAM or professional operators.
Traditionally, RU chatters run regularly LSB 2.9 to 3.1 and AM 3.0 to 3.2 MHz, which I wrote about on the HFU.
I will write about these pranks!

Hi Kris!
I guess, all these AM catches on 48 mb are actually 2nd harmonics from freebanders on 90 meter band. E.g.: 6315/2=3157.5 kHz, 6304/2=3152 kHz, 6299/2=3149.5 kHz etc. They are using primitive transmitters without filtering and producing lot of harmonics. Try to check X/2 frequencies next time and you will hear the same operators with high probability.

Thanks for your attention, I think you're right, I'll check it out soon.
I was irritated by their entry to the 6300 and at the same time I was surprised by the choice of this band. Free banders from 2.9 to 3.2 are actually active almost every night.
They probably do emit harmonics, but this situation confirms my need to make a preselector for my SDR receivers.

You are welcome. I think, preselector will not help in this particular case, because these harmonics are being produced on the TX side, not on RX side and really emitted on the mentioned frequencies of the 48 mb. Change of directional pattern of RX antenna could somewhat help to make them weaker on RX side.

You're right, I wrote first and then thought what it is. However, Magnetic loop will come in handy here!

Yes, these are around 6300 harmonics from poor RU free banders transmitters at 3150 +/-.
I confirmed it today.
1557 Ru grandpa on the 3150- S9 + 20 with low modulation was the same on the 6299 S9 + 20.
His correspondent with the cleaner S9 signal was not received on the 6300.
1640 next grandpa's entry and the same effect.
This is good news for music Free Radio.
Don't run away from this channel, it's not UT, it's just unregulated bullies (sometimes).

So there's one reason I have never been able to hear them here - they are harmonics of probably relatively low power levels. I can stop trying now ;D
