Title: Rain to snow possible in the northeast Christmas Eve/Day
Post by: ChrisSmolinski on December 18, 2020, 2258 UTC
Ran to snow systems usually don't result in much accumulating snow, but it's worth watching:

The mild 50F+ mid-week temps were pushed out of here yesterday by a strong
Arctic blast which brought us a couple inches of snow overnight much to the
delight of the white Christmas fans.  The XYL and myself enjoyed it with our
cross-country skis.   :)

We ended up with 1.57" of rain, and some snow flurries this afternoon. Temps went from 60 at midnight to the 20s after the cold front came though around 3 AM.
