Search brings up the last post of hearing this beacon was in 2010 so apologies if starting a new thread is not appropriate but it seems to not have been reported since (assuming I didn't miss something) and it has been some time since I have heard it. It is chirping away here this morning though at 18:40 UTC 06 FEB 2021.

That is amazing!
Will give a listen from the regular Kiwis and see if I can hear Lazarus....

Am seeing and hearing rainy at 2121 utc on the KFS SE SDR. Strong signal at the moment.
Wow have not heard it in a long time.

Fist time I've tuned it on on the SDR and it sounds more like a woodpecker or sumthin' in CW mode. ;D On my home receivers
it did sound more like fast dripping water. ;) I played with center frequency settings and bandwidths and managed to get the "drip" sound, lol.
Very strong right now on the SE and good on the omni. Glad Rainy is still alive.

Could get no copy last evening, but easy going via KFS Kiwi at 1930z

Which of the KFS KiwiSDRs are you using? I've tried numerous times to hear rainy direct here, but has always been elusive. So I guess I will need to use a remote SDR for the time being ;D

Chris its best on the KFS SE (southeast antenna), here is the link

There are 4 SDR's each with a different antenna favoring a direction. The launch pad that lets you select which each one is here.

It is also audible on the Omni antenna.

Thanks! Now I know what to listen and look for locally.

Got it here weak this afternoon on the longwire. Compared it to KFS on the SE antenna, same signal somewhat stronger than what I am hearing here. 22:38 UTC 20 FEB 2021

Had not checked for Rainy in a while but it is making an appearance this afternoon. Fair signal with some fading.

I suppose Rainy, like all of the other beacons, are a form of GeoCaching but with RF emanations... somebody is fixing and maintaining my:
HexY2K 6700/5 or so; - not 24/7 like on beginning evening 29 Dec. 1999 then we hiked back to White Tank CG to watch crazed Europeans in pointy hats all drunk singing NY Eve... SOMEBODY COOL is fixing it to this day as I have not been there since 2006...
Same for 6626.3 RAINY -- in a very AH-AH place (a'a') like when I lived on the Big Island 1986-1991--hard to get to or even if it is still there --or relocated after a long spell DOA when I thought it was, well, DOA...Rainy lives on well. - thanks for the head's up a couple of months ago - bombs in here somedays when skip is shorter...!!! THANKS... MB

Rainy with a good signal chirping in this afternoon 6626.2
Also Hexy2K solid on 6700.46
Both of these old timers (or whatever reincarnation of them have brought them back to life) with good signals at 20:32 UTC 31 DEC 2021
Happy New Year to all!
