1553 Just signed on with what sounds like smoooooooth jazz. Mix Radio? A very good signal, SIO 444.
1913 Off?
-
signal S9+10-20 on the SDR in Milford. PA
-
Excellent reception
1604 Several people talking over Chuck Mangione instrumental "Feels So Good", maybe British accented group?
1612 OM's and YL talking over tail end of music, accents make comprehension a bit tough (plus wife QRM), picked out a few words
1614 New jazz instrumental tune
1616 Unid song YL singers start with "London?"
1622 Group of people talking over end of song, when they are talking the signal fades often but music is always very crisp. Modulation problem?
1624 Signal at noise floor now
1737 Reception back to good, just out of "Crisscross" song, OM's chatting but they are tough to understand. Music is very clear.
1741 Phone call messages (?) to Becky and Rod played, wishing them well over music. Greeter mentions "BSJ".
1806 "Jazz" and "Mix...thanks for listening" ID's over music - Excellent reception
-

1705 UTC: Sounded like a "Radio England" jingle. But clearly the station isn't in England.
1709 UTC: It's "Smooth Jazz", from an online stream.
-
1726 UTC "The Way You Smile"-Carl Stanley featuring Dwight Sills (Per Shazam)
1727 UTC OM DJ chatting
(Signal is solid above the noise but not moving the S-meter much....excellent wideband sideband audio!)
1728 UTC "Sneakin Out the Front Door"-Chris Standring
1732 UTC OM DJ chatting, into "Criss Cross"-Wolfgang Haffner featuring Roy Ayers

:o Yeah, good Jazzy signals here in Green River Valley. The Spectro scope shows audio well beyond 4 khz, but as usual with SSB such is not always good idea. Beyond 4 khz, NOISE begins to creep in. Shotwave is NOT FM.
The mod level is great and quality as good as it gets.
my 2 cents and some pocket change.
Put it on the "blue tooth", my wife is grooving inside the bull pen. Sounds great on HUGE speakers with band limited 4 khz to keep HF noise and junk out of pass band !
Signal is now up S9 * 10, and BW to 5.5 khz, I do heard more noise, but better percussion highs.

Nice signal - 555
1814 - OM telling everyone to go to bsjonair.com (Best Smooth Jazz)
1814 - ID, (YL) "Mix Radio International"
-
Jazz music - believed to be a rebroadcast of BSJ-FM in England - definitely *not* direct reception from UK, as this is the loudest pirate signal I've ever encountered (at S9+40!) in upstate New York, U.S.
-
S8 / SIO 333 at 1838z with jazz programming. Some light fading.

"The sound of MIX Radio. Thanks for listening"
ID at 1839 UTC
Huge signal in Maryland -- thanks MIX.

You heard a live broadcast of best smooth jazz hosted by Rod and Angie Lucas from the U.K. As always thank you for the great signal and audio reports. We spent a lot of time getting the best sound on sideband and AM on our transmitters. 8)
