Please keep comments pertinent to radio, vs politics 🙂

Also Article on qrz.com. Going to listen for it tonight. Am sure will hear

I spent ten minutes running a TDoA on the jamming, as someone would not possibly believe Cuba could be running a jammer :)

Turned the recorder on this afternoon and parked it on 7110 Mhz in ISB/SSB mode. At 21:35z someone comes on and sings a short bit of a song in Spanish(?) and then gone while the jammer is doing it's thing.

Noted the Cuban QRM across a good chunk of the 40m band here.... and apparently only the 40m band. Quickly skimmed a few other bands. No jamming noted on 80, 20, or 10.

0058 UTC - 16 July 2021, jamming continues from 7.110 kHz to 7.160 kHz. Amateur operators discussing the situation on 7.150 kHz.

Thank you for documenting the topic.

Tell them to jam RHC.

Anyone monitor the Cuban Spy Number Stations to see if the message format has changed or if there are new messages being transmitted?
-
Tell them to jam RHC.
Radio Rebelde almost could be a jammer here. Often I can receive it via common mode on a few feet of coax less long an actual antenna. Its harmonics can create various images on inexpensive receivers connected to a decent outdoor antenna.
Likewise on the US side, Radio Marti on 6030 can be just about as bad at times.

Further details this morning via the SWLing Post:

Pretty good article, actually. Thanks.

Thanks Rob, I thought so too and was pleasantly surprised.

VICE also published an article yesterday on this:

Be nice if a tropical storm finally took out their Transmission facilities. They wouldn't be able to rebuild much given how increasingly sloppy their signals have gotten over the years. This is about the last straw I had of their nonsense.
