Caught tail end of message of unid transmission. Very good reception.
1805 "I said four overbid, repeat, I said four overbid." Then, series of phonetically pronounced letters (IE: Yankee, tango, etc) then "This is Bookcase out" Then off
1817 "Standby message follows." Letters follow..... "I say again, four overbid, four overbid." then more letters. This is Bookcase out."

This is one of the USAF High Frequency Global Communications System (HFGCS) network frequencies. These messages are common and generally simulcast on all of the network's frequencies. I sometimes use this traffic to check propagation by cycling through the network. Good practise as well for receiving and copying those phonetic letter onto paper (or screen). Characters should come at you at an approximate cadence of 1 per second.
